Wastes is 100% solo-able without SoH, using Deaths Charge

Listen you guys, this is the worst if it. Don't you remember those YouTube videos when Lindsey was talking about that "7 min uwsc are too fast"? I believe this is the solution to that problem, ANet won't nerf SF, they just made the UW much harder. Once we figure out the learning curve than it isn't bad.

What else works beside Sins in the UW and how is ecto drop rate going?They did have to make AI improvements to slow down all Sins teams well what about others?

I think it all depends on what your goal is - to farm/make cash? To play and enjoy company? To have a reasonably challengable time?

Depending on your goal, seek out the right party - gimmick builds/particular teams is for one type of play - don't like it? Then stick it out and pug. It'll take longer to find a team, and sure, you may wipe, but who cares? If it's about meeting new people and adventuring, then go for it!

The way the quest series is written... its like ANET is using the UWSC as a reason for a quest series in the slow process to nerf it. Which I must say is very cheeky.
